Musical notes were first seen at the end of Episode 5 on something that appears to be a healing circle for Sayaka. The circle consists of three rings, each of which seem to repeat the same note patterns. It remains a mystery whether the notes actually mean something, but many familiar musical symbols have been identified (see tables below). Likewise many inconsistensies have been spotted withing the notation, which has lead to an assumption that the scores are in fact mirrored.
